Many of us for most of our lives have taken for granted the idea that this is a "free country" and that we receive our information from relatively unbiased sources whose goal it is to present us with actual events, facts from the outside world obtained by sincere attempts at objective reporting  and to clearly state when these sources editorialize by inserting their opinions and agendas in our "news".
 
Of course, we knew that the media outlets were owned by those who must  make a profit and please their advertisers and that these goals could color their reporting, but what we believed to be  the diversity of sources allowed us to receive a lot of differing views and opinions and through these versions could create an accurate understanding of our  world  if we sorted through the news carefully enough.

Or so we thought.
 
Now I know differently.  Our media is controlled by a  very few (as little as five corporate entities) and there is little diversity of views or news stories between these five. Many of the board members of one media company will also sit on those of  the pharma , defense industries and  oil companies. A corrupt monolith has emerged that when examined closely, appears to be nothing more than an arm of our state---a nation which has adopted   "empire" as its model and the entity of the "corporation" as its legal justification. Imperialism has become the accepted mode of its interactions abroad and as citizens we teeter on the edge of a dark future.
 
Some have called it fascism.

This website is dedicated to those who value truth and need freedom as desperately as the air they breathe. And to the younger generation whose future health, freedom and access to real information about our world has been threatened and perhaps destroyed before our eyes, all while our trusted media outlets have remained silent.

As a parent I feel the need to do what I can to change this future for my children and for children everywhere. It is a cliche but I feel compelled to say it again: our hopes for a habitable world rest with them.

By coming to this site and taking the time to read a few articles, I hope you are showing that you are ready to take the first step of a long and rewarding journey. This first step is a very difficult one and for many will prove impossible. This first step  takes  courage and an open and inquiring mind. It consists of  entertaining the thought that much-- if not all--of what we are told by those we have been taught to respect is not "the truth" and looking at the possibility that  we have been taught to arrange and live our lives according to lies and fabrications designed to benefit the very very few.  Our churches, our governments, or medical professionals our teachers, even our parents and most of all, our media  may  have played us false, though in many cases unknowingly.

This material has led me to the conclusion that we are living in  a prison, the bars of which are made not of metal or wood, but of ideas.

The articles  I  will present here  will  consist of two categories, the first of which will  consist of  undisputed factual matter that may ask you to reexamine many of the assumptions we have made about the information reaching us through our media, schools, churches and government. This will consist of scholarly and researched articles by scientists and researchers in their own fields of expertise.  I will do my best to present only the most documented and established factual material with links and notes.
The second category will consist of  articles that speculate why  we have been so sadly misled  and who might be benefiting.

The blog which I will up date  as often as I can, will include new information and my own thoughts and speculations on these issues.  There, it will be possible to comment and add your own perspective and responses to information from this site. 

A special feature of this site will link to local events and activities that aim to educate the public and change the dire course we have been set upon by those forces that control what we know and what we do with what we know.
