EVERYONE
WELCOME
July 1 - The Future of Food -
Excellent example of film simplifying a complicated subject...informative
interviews, historic footage, biographies, and animations culminating in a clear
message about food and its manipulation...should be built-in to every
television...it's that good!
July 8 - Washington You're Fired -
Captures the spirit and zest of an old fashioned Boston tea party...a
chance to play a serious game of political "catch-up". Exposes both sides of
the political aisle and the most damning laws ever enacted anywhere; provides
solutions.
July 15 - American Blackout -
imdb.com: One of the best docus I've seen...elections are
being rigged as badly as any un-democratic country...incredibly enlightening,
very well made, great music...focuses on Rep. Cynthia McKinney as she butts
heads with the Powers That Be.
July 22 - The Emperor of Hemp -
Beautifully produced - fun, powerful, journalistically credible...narrator,
Peter Coyote; writer/producer, former LA Time's Jeff Meyers; financier, Anita
Roddick (Body Shop)...realized & unrealized potential of the hemp plant is
staggering...film clearly demonstrates how US is needlessly deprived of one of
nature's most diverse and valuable renewable resources.
July 29 - Hijacking
Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear, and the Selling
of
American Empire. Powerful,
straightforward, educational...a single meticulously organized hour of evidence
and analysis...and something not seen before: a real economic analysis of what
is driving our current "global war on terror." Highly rated.
